While McCain is blowing his wad on unwanted, anonymous and ominous calls to people–even in Arizona–spreading the fear, hate, anger and lies that we’ve grown accustomed to, Obama has the sense to address the Nation, and the world.

He made it clear what he understood are the problems we face and he articulated ideas and plans to overcome those problems.  He addressed the fears that the McCain campaign has instilled in some people, and did so gracefully, without insulting anyone.

It was his first State Of The Union Address and I, for one, am happy to see President Obama’s face on my television and I hung on every intelligent, correctly pronounced word.
