word du jour: SEXYGENARIAN

Today’s word is not found in any dictionary that I know of.  And, since a picture is worth a thousand words, I’ll let the pictures do the talking…

The first picture is at age 68, apparently taken just last month:

They don’t make 68-year-olds like this anymore!

Raquel Welch proves nothing made in 1940 holds up as flawlessly as she does.

Bolivian/Irish don’t crack!

when she was a little bit younger:

and younger still…

now get your mind out of the gutter!

And now, some SEXYGENARIMEN (in no particular order):

Sean Connery, of course

Sam Elliot, another man who gets sexier every day

Football Great, Ronnie Lott… always delicious

Okay, so Mark Wahlberg is in his 40s but he is steamin’, so I had to include him

Harrison Ford.  Hot.

  Denzel Washington.  Hot.

I can do without the cigarette, but DeNiro… smokin’ hot

And last, but definitely not least, Joe Biden  🙂

This post was inspired by the Grumpy Lion.

Sexy is as sexy does.  Rock on Sexygenarians!

  1. The Lion is honored, flattered even, to be an inspiration. And it’s good to know that one can be sixtyish and still inspire sexyness.

  2. Well, at least that makes me feel more qualified to be called sexy (half way qualified – sixty something, that is). Now I have to work on the other half. Do you have Raquel’s phone number by any chance?

  3. Personally, I do not find young men sexy at all. And if by young women, people refer to Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan or the like, THAT is definitely NOT sexy. Disgusting, rather.

  4. @girldujour: I wouldn’t really refer to Britney Spears and her ilk as disgusting – unsexy? oh yes, totally as far as I’m concerned – crass, undoubtedly – but then it takes all sorts to make a world, doesn’t it.

For what it’s worth, I’ve found fit forty something (or apparently so) women sexy since I was seventeen. Then, people would probably think I was looking to be a toy boy, now I suppose they’d just regard me as a dirty old man, but the fact is I haven’t changed – unfortunately, my body has! 🙂
