The Crab Nebula, one of the most studied objects in the sky.  X-ray data from Chandra provide significant clues to the workings of this mighty cosmic “generator”, which is producing energy at the rate of 100,000 suns.

  1. Best pic yet I’ve seen of the crab. Wouldn’t it be great if an event like that happened closeby (like the crab) with chandra, hubble, and all the earth monitors going? Cosmologists would be changing their underwear daily!
